April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her interest in songwriting. In the seventh grade, April began taking guitar and piano classes. It sparked her interest in writing songs. When she was 14 years old, April was spending a lot of time writing and honed her musical ability. In the following months, April started going in NY and LA along with her dad so that they could both write songs. The month also saw her include other related topics for some of her friends dealing with issues such as bullying by peers and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take" my Hand. Lockhart is an influencer in the beauty and lifestyle industry with a growing number of followers. She works with popular brand Ilia in partnership, as well as being a lifestyle expert. The truth is that she was born with no left hand. This creates her unique. However, this isn't the only thing about her. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on Instagram, but she doesn't make it the focus of her story. It's a reminder. The message is: We all have many identities, we're more complex than we think we are. Lockhart states in the video Lockhart via video "I am not convinced that my physical appearance will define my character. It's not my intention to have an impact on disabilities because I've got so much more to offer." And it doesn't affect my daily life. I conduct every day as normal and have found my own way to adjust things. But, I consider it a very important aspect of me. Self-acceptance is a long marathon but Lockhart is a true inspiration for this aspect. She admits that she's been through phases with her body, at times, feeling insecure to wear certain types of clothing which showed how much of her body. She dresses according to her preferences and posts photos of herself dressed in outfits she chooses on social media. For her, self-love is an extended journey. But I think that's common to everyone regardless of what their insecurity is. I think that having people around you who really are aware of you and know the depths of your soul is vital since they'll be those who will remind you what you worrying about?
