Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
I spent months working 12 hour days cleaning floors and tearing down wallpaper with the baby on my back and the others playing into the playpen. Ha! We were getting closer to completing, however we were a long way off. The house would need lots of time as well as a passion of shopping. To keep my budget intact, I went with my three boys in search for deals at estate sales. Each week we would spend between Thursday and Saturday in estate sales and garage sales purchasing old and brand new furniture. In the end, I painted and sanded the driveway in the week. Looked a little something like this... This is where my passion for restoration of furniture started. I continued to restore furniture long after we completed the renovation of our home. At the local market I set up a little area and then sold a few pieces. Eventually, I had too lots of pieces to keep in the space available. At home, I started hosting open houses in which more than 1,000 people were able to come in and purchase any product they wanted on the first floor within a single weekend. That's how my company Growing Days was born. Growing Days was not only an incredibly successful business, but as well my family. I was finding that balance of what it was like starting a business while also being a mommy. Growing Days seemed like the perfect match. Nora was born in 2013 as our 4th baby. My business was booming but I wanted a rest. I took a break from making vintage furniture, and I slowed down my speed to be at home to help my children. It was just what I needed. It was only after several months when the phones began to ring. They asked for my help in interior decoration and renovations. The majority of them were people who had been through my property during open house for furniture! It didn't seem long until I managed a large-scale business for home improvement. The first step was to take clients on one with a speed I was at ease with. I'm sure you would have amused me if you had said that this was going to be the subject of the DIY Network tv series. Actually, I smile at times when I think of the episode.
