Jenna Fischer was best known for her role as Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on television. This role brought her an Emmy nod for the best supporting Actress category and she also received two SAG Awards, both for extraordinary performances on an ensemble comedy.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but was raised mostly in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was a child who watched her mother, Anne, in church productions. This instilled in her an interest in theater.
Fischer is an actress with theatre training. She starred in the Off-Broadway production Reasons to Be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, and Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist play starring Greg Germann with Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's debut world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has proven to be hugely successful, reaching in the Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads within the first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's also the co-author for Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends The Office. This memoir is about their friendship and the work they did for The Office.
